Grady, Lincoln County.

Grady, Lincoln County.

This is the front window of what used to be the train station in the small town of Grady. The station was for the Little Rock, Mississippi River, and Texas Railway, which originally connected Arkansas City and Little Rock. The station probably dates to around 1880s, which was when the tracks were placed through this part of the Delta.br/ br/The station consisted of two rooms, one for the passengers and cargo and the other for the station operator. When passenger rail service ended in Grady, it appears the station was converted into the townrsquo;s library. However, when this was taken in 2014, the building was abandoned. It has since been torn down.br/br/ br/ Taken: 2014
